But only frontman and chief songwriter Wayne Hussey knew it would be their last. While touring 'Blue' at the end of 1996 he sensationally stunned fans by announcing that the band were to be dissolved. While The Mission did rise again, Phoenix like, three years later, 'Blue' represented the closing of Chapter 1 of the band's story. Mostly
