This is the best example of the classic Great Northern Railway single needle  block telegraph instrument

this instrument gave an indication to the signal that an oil lamp was lit at the signal

the instrument is in superb condition and stamped with the companies initials in two places

this important device was placed over the lever handle preventing it being operated

This example is a dark case in really nice condition and retains its original Ivorine plated  BICESTER No 2 and is in tested working order
