Description

The coin is a 1787 George III silver sixpence (or half shilling)

each with a beautiful textured finish

The remnants of what appears to be turquoise enamel are present in some of the engraved letters

It's intricately textured - I think by hand - and set with two gleaming emeralds for eyes

with hand engraved detailing to the shoulders and gallery

Victorian Rock Amulet diamond The coin is a 1787It's a small, triangular rock. And we know it's an extremely special little rock because someone decided, ages ago, to have it mounted up in a bespoke gold frame to wear close, around their neck. We'll never know the whys or the whens, but here it is with a little gold flick above and still safely secured. A true amulet; a talisman; a keepsake. Era: Victorian, circa 1880 Size: 18. 7mm (including bail) by 12. 6mm Marks: None, tested as 9ct gold
