Shel Silverstein - Crouchin' On The Outside (Mod) [CD] Dusty Springield formed in 1978 by bassSheldon Allan Silverstein (stagename Shel Silverstein) was an American entertainer from Chicago with a comedic edge, better known for his work as a children's author. As a songwriter, Silverstein had a string of Billboard songwriting successes including credits for the 1969 Johnny Cash hit "A Boy Named Sue". Originally released as a double album on GRT's Janus Records in 1973, Crouchin' on the Outside is a compilation of live and studio recordings.
