Due to its rear mounted location we recommend always using the included cage

with a willow woven bottom

but still works if green is your thing

Rear Mount Wire Cage Basket Liner Shape Long "D"The rear mount wire cage fits our Large Cape May rear mount bicycle basket (smaller cage shown here this is not the cage you will receive). It secures small skittish dogs or cats and prevents them from jumping out. Most dogs are more comfortable using a basket leash, but it greatly depends on the temperament of your dog. Highly recommended for carrying cats since they don't generally do well with leashes. Also great for keeping light items secure
