I continued past the cottonwood trees

the South Fork Kishwaukee River begins to freeze from the edges inward as the afternoon sunlight illuminates this landscape giving the river an amazing deep color blue

this scene at the lake with the sun shining behind the clouds along with dock in the foreground

I set up my tripod and camera

composed the sunlit bridge with the grasses in the foreground and snapped the shutter a couple times at Wildflower Park
