I had been photographing the common loons for a few days and on this particular morning I was hoping one or two of the loons would come closer to the banks of the lake then they had the previous days

A small flock of american tree sparrows make Wildflower Park home for a couple of months during the winter before continuing their migration as these two spend a moment of rest upon the branches

There isn't anyone else around on the trails in which I can enjoy the fresh air and the beauty of the area, to leave me with my thoughts as I gaze out in awe of the majestic views
