All of the text on the tin is in English except for an inscription on the inside where Duke of Edinbourgh is crossed out and in German above Herzog von Edinburg is written

This is also the only tobacco tin I have seen that directly addresses the war

The bottom says it is black ink but it clearly looks like its been used for blue or purple ink. Small size. The lid says it is non toxic and suitable for meat inspectors. The ink pad is mostly dried up. OK condition outside, the inside is a bit rusty and gross.
