Penderyn Portwood Balvenie with 40% new oak usedLaunched in 2004 as part of Welsh Penderyn distillery's Gold range of single malt whiskies. Double matured, initially in ex bourbon barrels, then in hand selected ex Ruby Port casks. Non chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml) Nose: Aromas of rich dried fruits with dark chocolate and cranberries; a hint of toasty oak mingles with a baked nutty dryness. Palate: A creamy richness with some honey and spiced notes
