North Carolina Morning Green and I enjoyed the opennessEarlier this fall, my husband and I visited the Nantahala National Forest in western North Carolina to do some hiking. We couldn't have timed our visit better the fall colors and the weather were equally spectacular. I caught this moment along Yellowhammer Branch on the trail to Bear Creek Falls. This was definitely a trail that required TWO hiking sticks (so as not to careen down a sheer rock face into the water), but the views were totally worth it!
