The construction and materials are typical for WWII but these have a very unusual ventilation feature that I have not seen before. There is a strange offset ventilation gap in the construction with little beads for spacing. Someone certainly found a way to make one of the simplest designs significantly more convoluted. Most are still wrapped in paper but some are loose. The paper wrapping is in poor condition with many
