It was an unusual battery tray which seems to be made to accept the German flat batteries like the ones that go in the flashlight

There is some staining throughout (no attempt has been made to clean it)

This design of typewriter is also interesting as the letters slide straight forward rather than swinging out like most typewriters

It is in decent condition and ready for some serious administrative work. There is some light rust and wear, but nothing too distracting. The bottom is marked with an M logo. Disassembles easily for transport (will ship disassembled).
