Rare 1940’s Alfred Meakin “Ballad” Side Plate Vanity but the spoon is inThe item is an Alfred Meakin side plate in the Ballad pattern which is considered very rare. The side plate was manufactured in the 1940s and is in a magnificent sun yellow pastel glaze with the bottom being white. The Ballad pattern was released in white, cream and yellow in limited quantities before being discontinued. The item is stamped underneath Alfred Meakin England. The side plate has one chip underneath the rim, but not visible from the top..
