Coming from running 55+ lb loads in my faithful Dana Alpine, I was concerned about the suspension system and load comfort, but it worked fantastically on 7 day Sierra trip starting with 42 total lbs
All I have to say this reel feels like a DREAM
Suspending hard baits can be used with a stop-n-go retrieve to give trout plenty of time to take the bait
I prefer a locking hatch on my thicker boxes for sure, just to make sure the box stays closed and my flies remain safely inside
