The Carolina rig is designed to allow fish to retreat with bait in mouth
From: Brendan: Rochester, MN 5/14/20 Comments: Was hesitant but after one trip I was sold.Shimano has me drinking the "Kool-Aid" at this point.I've never had an interest in switching all my spinning rod and reels over to baitcasters until I tried this.Watching friends always messing with the brakes and working to untangle backlashes while I fished made me feel like it was not worth it
The easily accessible interior makes packing and locating items a breeze
When I moved to SoCal in the mid-80s and started fishing for bay bass, I quickly found out that these freshwater baits worked really well in our local bays
Thats substantially more drag than all of the other baitcasters in the test
